INX & print associations sponsor OSHA seminars
A series of two-day OSHA-sanctioned education sessions covering printing safety and health are being held this year in Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois, Georgia and Missouri. The PrintGuard Train-the-Trainer sessions are conducted by the Printing and Imaging Association (PIA) of MidAmerica. INX International Ink Co. serves as corporate sponsor.
Among issues covered during the seminars are common safety violations at printing operations, preventing of injuries and lost-time accidents, simplifying and reducing regulation compliance time and paperwork, all with the goal of lessening chances of being targeted for OSHA inspection.
Five sessions are planned in five locations from September through November. Details and contact information can be found in the Industry Events calendar on pages 140-141.
